Prescription (Rx) products require your veterinarian to write a prescription. According to state and federal pharmacy laws the veterinarian is required to fax the prescription to us directly (if the veterinarian refuses to send fax the client must then mail us the hard copy.) This hard copy can be sent to: Valuevet, P.O. Box 217, Dike, IA 50624 or fax to: 1-888-989-2220. Faxed prescriptions should have a broad X across the face of the prescription and Valuevet written on the face in a blank area. This will tell us that the prescription has been consigned to Valuevet to fill. If you have refills available to you and should ever want to go to a different pharmacy or veterinarian, we will forward them promptly as a prescription is your property.

To obtain a prescription you have to firmly ask your veterinarian for a prescription. In most states veterinarians readily comply. Some cast doubt on quality or dating of products. Valuevet sends only U.S. products with excellent dating.

Keep in mind that it is your right to obtain a prescription or find a veterinarian that will write a script.
